Sandra Mizumoto Posey is a folklorist who earned her M.A and Ph.D at UCLA. She’s gone on to various roles as faculty and administrator, granted tenure at two different institutions, and finally being promoted to full Professor. She draws, writes, carves stamps, makes comics, candles, weird things with concrete, and does the usual academic writing on ethnographic and autoethnographic topics, pedagogy, and social justice. She loves teaching, especially classes she created like Beauty Cultures and Women’s Folklore and Folklife. She has an excess of enthusiasm and ideas. Sometimes she naps.
